6. About the Speaker: Doug Torok

Doug & Mary Kay Torok, CIT Program, Camp Li Lo Li, July, 1982

Doug Torok, a believer and follower of the Lord Jesus Christ since age 19, will be sharing God’s word at the Blasdell Youth Conference this September 5-7.   He serves in the Erie area in various capacities while gathering with the believers at Grace Gospel Chapel.  He married Mary Kay in 1974, four years later left for Manila Philippines to serve, and then after another four years went to serve in Hong Kong and China.

In the fall of 1986, the Lord opened the door for teaching in Guangzhou China by providing a multiple entry/exit visa so they could travel into China on Sunday evenings then out by Wednesday, back to Hong Kong for mid-week prayer time with the believers gathering at Sun Tin Wai, in Sha Tin.  It was during this time of weekly teaching the Lord led them to adopting their only daughter.

They are no strangers to Camp Li Lo, serving as counselors and directing CIT in years past. A firm believer in making disciples of all and the power of the Word of God.  Please come prepared to study Luke 6, “Jesus asks, “Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do what I tell you?”
